Caulaincourt Paris presents its new signature loafer: the Lion. This distinctly dandyish shoe, which brings the Caulaincourt brand’s origins to the forefront, is Goodyear welted.

The Lion loafer: a statement piece

Initially conceived for a “carte blanche” collaboration with a friend of the brand, the Lion was ultimately made available as a standard model, as our guest had since taken on a role that prevented him from being publicly associated with brands.

Caulaincourt decided to make it accessible to all nonetheless, as this model perfectly embodies the aesthetic cherished since our beginnings. A unique, refined, and stylish shoe, it surprises with its “half moccasin, half derby” design; it’s actually a two-eyelet derby, with the eyelets covered by the moccasin’s tongue.

Exuding a very chic and decidedly retro look, it’s ideally suited for formal occasions, for example, paired with a long coat or a tuxedo.

Tip: Note that one of the pairs photographed (on the Parisian pavement) has a high-gloss mirror polish finish (available as an option online or in stores). The effect without this option will be less striking.
